Ok i have posted here a few times about my cough. Let me say that i am in the process of finding a new PCP. I went to the dr early January because i was extremely congested in my chest. I had a "cold" late november, and shortly after christmas it went to my chest. The dr told me that i had bronchitis. The put me on the Z-Pack for 5 days. (january9) I went back 2 week later and was told that it had turned into walking pneumonia. Then given biaxin antibiotics. and told to do breathing treatments every 4-6 hours. After about a week i was getting better, then i started to hear this gurgling wheeze coming from me. I went to urgent care who told me it was asthma..and put me on more antibiotics.?? a little confused there. My O2 level was at 92%. I followed up with PCP and they said no it still sounds like walking pneumonia. Prescribed me Levi-quin, steroids, and breathing treatments. I woke up monday and am completely congested in nose ears chest every where. i ache and i am very tired. And very irritated. The dr said yesterday that it will take time to get over this, keep up with the Meds and added a steroid inhaler. How much longer do i have to be sick, what in the world is really wrong with me? sorry so long

I can't believe noone has answered you, yet! Did you ever get a chest x-ray? I got diagnosed with upper resp infec 2 wks ago. I got diagnosed w/ walking pneumonia today. I am on BENZONATATE(for cough)PROVENTIL HFA MDI( for inhale treatments 4x a day),PREDNISONE(steroid), and LEVAQUIN 750 mg for 5 days. Never taken an antibiotic that strong! I have a dry cough, headache, congestion that is not comming up, low grade fever, and shortness of breath. Anyways, I was on here looking this stuff up. I am worried it will turn into pneumonia. I would get a chest x-ray asap. You may need to be in the hospital. I don't trust doctors these days. You know your body. I would get another opinion. I prob did not help at all, but i hope you feel better soon. Good luck!
