My son has been on Cipro and Zyvox for a few months now and when he got his hair cut yesterday, we discovered that while his short hair used to be light brown (when it is longer it is a medium brown) now it is a light copper colour. Also, he used to have 2 blonde patches in the back of his head that looked like bald spots, now he has 3 blond patches and his beard is almost blonde now, before it was a brownish copper colour. My two older children at one point or another have had copper coloured and/or blonde hair. So is this just something that happend to my youngest son or is it the antibiotics?

I think the antibiotics had their role into the changing of color of your son's hair. Usually after the treatment is finished, the hair grows with the natural color again.
