yeah zyprexa is not really for anxiety, and the side effects will outweight any benefits it will give you for the anxiety. You will gain weight and have high blood glucose levels and possibly develop type II diabetes

That is a drug that is used for anxiety. But that is a lot of meds. so you may think of seeing a another doctor. However if you are feel better it might be the thing for you. Ask another doctor opinion just to be safe. Good Luck P.s god also works thought doctors. So Pray and read the Bible and let god lead you. Wisdom comes from above and that is God and he give wisdom to Doctors. Just a thought.

Hi Rick,I do not blame you for being a little skeptical. If I understand right you currently take Prozac, Klonopin, and Wellbutrin. Quite the combination before even considering the Zyprexa.First, let me tell you I have tried Zyprexa before, and this is one nasty drug. I have added some links below so you can see what I am talking about. Zyprexa is most commonly used for people with bi-polar, schizophrenia, or those having psychotic episodes. (This you already knew). You do NOT need Zyprexa from what you have stated in your question. I would be seriously concerned about why a physician would prescribe a drug this strong especially when in conjunction with your other meds.Klonopin can be good for acute anxiety or panic attacks. I used this as a PRN for years. However, I found I had nasty side effects in the morning - talk about a hangover. I now use Xanax as a PRN.In my opinion, you do not need Prozac as an antidepressant if you are suffering from anxiety as well. There is a nice selection of antidepressant/antianxiety drugs on the market today. Luvox, Paxil, and even Effexor. These are only a few of the popular types available today.Wellbutrin should only be taken for a short time to help with the cessation of smoking. If you are finding this depression and anxiety combination is something new for you, consider the medications you are already taking. Adding Zyprexa is NOT going to make things better. While a physician should be knowledgeable when it comes to what you should or should not be taken, never assume they have your best interests in mind. Ask questions. You have a mind - use it. If it feels bad or wrong, listen to what your body is telling you.Take a look at "how" all of these medications work. Then ask yourself how they are working on you. You will probably be surprised. I know I was.If you have anxiety, try taking some natural remedies such as over the counter tea with Valerian root. There are so many options available. I have GAD (Generalized Anxiety Disorder) and I know for a fact doctors will give you whatever they are getting a cutback from. If you want results, do your own homework. You ask if you need all of these meds. The answer is in you. Do you feel you need all of these meds? Are they making you feel better emotionally, mentally, and physically? Wellbutrin takes care of depression.Anxiety is absolutely not a good enough reason for taking Zyprexa in my opinion.Instead of medication for anxiety I recommend finding out what causes it. If it's thinking that you're taking too seriously, learn to disregard such thinking.

Dude, don't do it. This is NOT what you need!!! If your depressed or anxious, I have a way better remedy. And it totally works!!! I've seen it work man!!! It's not any kind of pill, plant, lotion, or salve. don't take pills!!!They mess with your body. We didn't have pills at the begining of civiliazation, & their are way more deaths now, then their were back then. I'm not saying that these pills will kill you. They might, if you get addicted to them(wich is always a possibility) but they will for shure screw up your system. If you are seriously depressed, and want the kind of relief I talked about earlier, Go to a book store, and get a NKJV of the Bible, and read Romans. Zyprexa is usually prescribed in combination for those with manic depressive disorder or anxiety. But you may want to get a second opinion; Wellbutrin is an anti-depressant as well. I feel like you are taking a lot of meds that do the same thing and in the long run, may not be that beneficial to you. I am not a doctor. This is just the opinion of one who has been on a few meds myself.And don't feel crazy. You are being proactive about your mental health by seeking help.

I used to take Zyprexa regularly each night, but now only take it when I am either too wound up to sleep or acutely suicidal. Antipsychotics have many other uses besides treating the psychosis their intended for, so don't let that scare you off. Also, I currently take Effexor, Wellburtin, Prozac, Lithium, and Klonopin and one year ago I also took on top of all of those Neurontin and the Zyprexa. Everybody's body is different, some take to the medicine better than others, some of us need lots of it, just the way it is, don't be ashamed.
